This is my homemade digital anemometer. It is made of cups rotating with a magnet triggering a reed switch. The wires are connected to an Arduino Uno that calculates the time between consecutive pulses (after reed switch debouncing by my arduino software)

Wind Speed in KTS and Wind Direction in DEG. Located in Docklands, London, UK

Average, estimated energy, min, max Datalogging every 60 min. Long-term test to see, if a small wind turbine on the roof of a house is suitable as a supplement to the photovoltaic system.
